X VECTOR SWIMWEAR 2016 COLLECTION X
During the second year of my studies at FDS (Ultimo TAFE, Sydney) our main project during the year (2016) was about creating a swimwear range that includes swimwear and stretchy outer wear looks which incorporate the city and modern vibe of a chosen period or culture. We had been separated into groups, where my team mates were Alexandra Briscoe, Jane Chen and Rebecca Beard. This is the swimwear/ outerwear collection that we created. (More design project details, pictures and developments are within the Projects Page-> Vector swimwear group project folder. )

X THE EVOLUTION OF EXISTENCE COLLECTION X
The concept behind the collections came from the five elements which provide the foundation for the entire physical world. Space, Air, Fire, Water, Earth. The Five Elements explain why substances of the natural world are harmonious with the human body. Inspired by them, I chose Water, Fire and Air with Smoke to develop my collections. I observed the elements separately and discovered the parts that eventually relate to each other.
The Urban Nomad project was a first year project at Fashion Design Studio, Ultimo TAFE, Sydney where we had to create a look that reflects nomadic culture, but also contemporary urban cities. (2015)
My design approach started with looking at current Urban Nomads living in modern cities. First of all I looked at the textures on houses, the places where they live, focusing on images of building decay, evidence of power in time and nature. Then I went back to the traditional ancient nomad ages, when these nomads lived in nature and used natural fibers, yarns, fabrics to create clothes. Their choices and skills were limited due to lack of modern technology.According to the project brief, I decided to create Autumn/Winter outfits for the layering effects. I also started to think about an inspirational animal, the deer, which I thought could fit this theme.
